Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of the Flewnt group chat translation service operated by Flewnt. By adding Flewnt to a LINE group or purchasing a subscription, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

Flewnt is a real-time group chat translation service. It translates messages in supported messaging platforms (currently LINE, with additional platforms planned) as they arrive, so every member of a group reads in their own language. Your subscription is per-user: one active subscription works across every group you are a member of. We do not sell per-group licences.

2. Payments and billing

Payments are processed by Paddle.com Market Limited, who is the merchant of record. You are purchasing from Paddle, not directly from Flewnt. Paddle handles card processing, local tax, VAT calculation, and invoicing. Your receipt arrives from Paddle. We never see your card number.

Available plans:

• Monthly: $9 USD per month.
• Annual: $54 USD per year ($4.50 per month effective).
• Free: approximately 60 lifetime translations, no card required.

Prices are in USD. Paddle converts to your local currency at checkout.

Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel via the Paddle customer portal. The cancellation link is in every receipt email from Paddle. To avoid being charged for the next period, cancel at least 48 hours before your renewal date. For annual plans, you will receive a renewal-reminder email before renewal. Your access continues until the end of the period you paid for.

3. Refund policy

Your first paid subscription payment carries a 14-day money-back guarantee. To request a refund, email Click to reveal email with your Paddle order number within 14 days of your first charge. Renewal charges are non-refundable. You can cancel your subscription at any time before renewal (at least 48 hours before your renewal date) to avoid future charges. Addon packs (Extra Pack or Power Pack) are non-refundable once purchased. Unused translations are forfeited if the linked subscription is refunded. See the full refund policy.

4. Account terms

By using the Service, you agree to:

• Provide accurate information when setting up your language preference.
• Maintain the security of your LINE account and subscription credentials.
• Notify us without undue delay of any unauthorised use of your subscription.
• Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your subscription.

You must be at least 16 years of age to use the Service. We do not knowingly provide the Service to individuals under 16.

5. Translation budget

Each translation consumes a variable number of tokens depending on message length and language complexity. Paid plans include approximately 3,000 short-message translations per billing period. The free plan includes approximately 60 lifetime translations. When your budget is exhausted, translations pause until the next billing period begins.

You can purchase addon packs at any time to extend your budget:

• Extra Pack ($5, one-time): approximately 1,500 additional translations.
• Power Pack ($9, one-time): approximately 3,000 additional translations.

Addon packs do not expire and are consumed only after your period budget is spent. If you hold multiple packs, the oldest is used first. We will notify you when your budget is running low.

If a payment fails during renewal, a small grace allowance is provided so translations are not interrupted immediately. This is a one-time buffer, not an ongoing entitlement.

6. Acceptable use

You must not use Flewnt to:

• Distribute spam, unsolicited commercial messages, or illegal content.
• Harass, abuse, or threaten other users.
• Circumvent the terms of service of any supported messaging platform.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the Service.
• Resell or sublicense access to the Service without written permission.

Violation may result in immediate suspension without refund.

7. Service availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted Service. Scheduled maintenance will be announced in advance where practicable. We are not liable for losses caused by third-party messaging platform API outages, which are outside our control.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free. Translations are generated by machine learning models and may not be perfectly accurate.

9. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these Terms shall exclude or limit liability for: (a) death or personal injury caused by negligence; (b) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or (c) any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by applicable law.

Subject to the foregoing, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Flewnt's total aggregate liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service is limited to the amount you paid in the twelve (12) months prior to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, incidental, special, or punitive damages.

10. Intellectual property

Flewnt owns the Service, including all software, designs, trademarks, and documentation. Users retain all rights to data they generate via the Service. Translations of user-authored messages remain the user's property. The Flewnt name, mark, and logo may not be used without prior written consent from Flewnt.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service with immediate effect if you breach these Terms. Where practicable, we shall provide notice and an opportunity to remedy the breach, except where the breach is material and incapable of remedy. Upon termination, your subscription ceases and Flewnt will no longer translate messages in your groups.

12. Governing law and disputes

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms. If you are a consumer, nothing in this section shall affect your statutory rights to bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes (including changes to pricing, payment terms, liability provisions, or service scope) will be notified via the email address associated with your subscription at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.

14. Survival

The following sections survive termination of these Terms: §8 (Disclaimer of Warranties), §9 (Limitation of Liability), §10 (Intellectual Property), §15 (Entire Agreement), and §16 (General Provisions).

15. Entire agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Refund Policy, and Data Processing Agreement (where applicable), form the entire agreement between you and Flewnt regarding the Service. They supersede all prior agreements on this subject.

16. General provisions

(a) Force Majeure. Flewnt is not liable for any failure or delay in performance caused by events outside our reasonable control, including but not limited to: natural disasters, pandemics, government actions, third-party service outages, and cyberattacks.

(b) Severability. If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision shall be enforced to the maximum extent permissible, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

(c) Waiver. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.

(d) Assignment. You may not assign or transfer your rights under these Terms without our prior written consent. Flewnt may assign its rights and obligations without restriction.

(e) Business Transfers. In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your subscription and associated data may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your data is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
